Bird Watching Clothing

Now that you made the decision to take up the incredibly interesting
and rewarding activity of bird watching you will need to choose the right clothing. Having been thorough in your research, you have decided on the various species of birds that you want to observe, the areas for bird watching have been chosen and the binoculars that you wanted have been purchased. In addition to these decisions, you will now need to choose the most appropriate bird watching clothing which is a key part of your bird watching enjoyment.

No matter what kinds of weather mother nature throws your way, you can rest assured that there is proper bird watching clothing for you. Even though a warm sunny day is the most comfortable time to bird watch, many serious and enthusiastic bird watchers go out in all types of weather; even wind, rain and snow. For bird watching in the forest on a cool fall day, you will need to keep yourself comfortable with a number of vital clothing items including comfortable hiking boots or well supported shoes, a sweater or long-sleeved shirt, a light jacket or fleece vest and long pants or track pants.

In nature, the ground is usually uneven with many things to watch out for when walking.
Rocks, roots, trees, shrubs and many other types of obstacles make walking more challenging than going shopping at the mall. It is for this reason that all bird watchers need to wear the proper type of shoes or boots. The choice can be hiking boots or even a pair of running shoes that have good support and treads.

It is usually cooler in the autumn months so it is a good idea to wear a sweater and a light jacket. If it is one of those warmer autumn days, then wearing a long-sleeved shirt with a fleece vest is a great combination. No matter what the weather, wearing a long-sleeved shirt will help to protect you from bug bites and stings.

When bird watching, to be safe, it is advisable to wear long pants or sweat pants because you may be walking through shrubs or sitting down on a log and you want to avoid being bitten by bugs or getting scratches.

As well, for serious bird watching, if you want to be able to get as close as
possible to the birds, you can purchase any number of different styles of camouflage clothing that you can attire yourself with. In addition, rather than wearing camouflage clothing you can wear regular clothing that has colors that mingle well with the environment you are in.

No matter if you are a backyard or a serious and daring bird watcher, your bird watching clothing needs to feel good and protective while wearing it.
